We’re delighted to announce that Fortunis Capital investee Sportside this week started the roll-out of their ‘connect and play’ social app in the London boroughs of Richmond and Bromley.
We have already announced funding of £2million in Sportside, with further phased funding of £15million over the next two years.

The pilot scheme marks a major milestone for the innovative sports tech company who are seeking to connect millions of grassroots players, coaches and clubs to meet their sporting match.

Sportside is seeking sports enthusiasts in Richmond and Bromley to sign up as ‘Community Captains’ and lead the charge in helping locals stay active after lockdown.

The Sportside app, available to download for free on both iOS and Android devices for Richmond and Bromley residents, is a new one-stop platform which will soon enable people to connect and play across 20 sports, and find their perfect sporting match by age, ability and geography. Following the initial pilot, the app will be rolled out across all London Boroughs and nationwide in 2021.
