Fortunis Capital champions foreign innovation with Great British Entrepreneur Awards

That is why we are proud to continue our partnership with the Great British Entrepreneurs for a second year as sponsor of the Foreign Innovation Award.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs in the UK, not just their balance sheet. 

 They showcase the most promising foreign entrepreneurs who have been endorsed and relocated their business to the UK – creating new jobs and helping to strengthen the economy.

 It chimes with our mission to support innovators who make a positive difference to the world we live in, while delivering returns to investors. 

 The amazing FitQuid team lifted the inaugural award last year. Judges were impressed by the founders’ entrepreneurial story and journey to creating FitQuid’s unique wellness app, which uses gamification tech to offer the over 50s incentives to stay fit, active and healthy. 

 Users can gain ‘points’ through taking part in activities to redeem for discounts at key partners, including retailers, or donate to a favourite cause.

 Fortunis Capital Investment Director Emma MacRae said enticing innovators such as FitQuid to the UK is vital to driving the nation’s economic growth.

Born out of a belief that entrepreneurs are as much about their story as they are their balance sheet, the awards were launched nine years ago by Francesca James.

Seeking out and attracting global talent to the UK is key to rebuilding the economy as we recover from the pandemic.
